This kitchen layout has the best view to the lake. We wanted to keep the open floor plan and capture that true cottage flare. Material selections include built in appliances, wide plank hickory flooring, shiplap walls, dove white beaded inset cabinetry accented w/ a distressed heritage gray finish on the island. We complimented all these finishes w/ a beautiful honed Calcutta marble counter top. The custom mantel hood creates a great focal point to the entire space w/beautiful full height marble back splash. The 10ft ceiling is amazing w/ the faux beams and the painted accent blue beaded ceiling to add interest and a pop of color.
The island serves several purposes ... allows for a great prep station, w/ tray and utensil storage, pots and pans drawers, spice pull outs... or this can be the perfect serving counter for family gatherings.
The beverage area is an extension of the kitchen. We selected a character cherry w/ a chocolate glaze finish to compliment the floor and add warmth to the space. We incorporated several key features ... such as a small bar sink, glass mullion door accents , brushed absolute black granite tops , under counter wine cooler, a recycle bin , plenty of extra storage and wood top for the extra seating.
